All About Us

JK’s understands the need for a boutique to be unique.

We only order a limited amount of what we carry and once it’s gone we don’t order more.  If you bring a favorite item from your closet to us, we’ll help you accessorize with a scarf, jewelry, or give you suggestions on how to use it with something else we carry.  We want to provide one on one service to build a wardrobe.

Personal service is our main priority.

There are people who have a talent for clothing, accessories, and know exactly how to put an outfit together.  Patty Belgeri is one of those individuals.  In addition to her  sense of fashion style, and with the assistance of her daughter and granddaughter, JK’s Kollections, Ladies Boutique, Antiques and Gifts, is a store with a variety of styles for all ages.

Twenty-three years ago, Belgeri and her daughter, Janet Novak, who studied fashion design in college, opened up JK’s Koolers in Colonial Heights.  They carried a very popular line of Flax clothing-knit wear and after approximately nine years of business they closed after a hurricane destroyed the distribution manufacturing plant of one of their major clothing lines.  The family continued in the clothing business to observe clothing industry trends and still visited the regional apparel markets in Atlanta and Dallas to stay current on the styles of the season.

Around five years ago an opportunity to go back into the local retail market presented itself.  Belgeri was approached about opening a booth in the River Mountain Antiques store on Broad Street, an antique store in downtown Kingsport.  She operated there carrying the popular Flax® and Match Point® lines of clothing,  as well as specialty scarves and jewelry.  She enjoyed working in the retail business again and helping customers with their fashion needs.  Because of a series of events,  she lost her lease, and Belgeri  found herself in the position to open up her own business once again.

Through prayer and careful consideration, Belgeri, Novak and Rutherford, decided in 2014 to open up JK’s Kollections in Colonial Heights on Fort Henry Drive. Their spacious location is adorned with home decor items from The Primitive Swan, unique handmade jewelry from Chic with Harmony, and custom framing/pictures and antique furniture from Barnett’s Antiques.  JK’s Kollections also has antiques, gifts, candles and cards.  Some of their popular brands are Flax®, Match Point®, and Cut Loose®, along with other specialty clothing lines.  They want to appeal to a wide group of women and offer clothes that cover the three generations that work there, in addition while to offering reasonable prices.

“We want to let our customers from JK’s Koolers and River Mountain Antiques to know we are back in business and want them to visit us in our new location.”
